January 2016 Stitch Fix

Stitch Fix

I haven't written in months, but I wanted to take to my blog to save my Facebook friends from having to see my constant Stitch Fix posts! So if you're interested, read away!

What is Stitch Fix?

It's basically an online personal stylist. Someone will fill a box with 5 items catered to your personal style. They send it out to you, you look it over and decide what you want. You send the rest back in a prepaid envelope.

How do they know what you like?

When you first sign up you fill out a style profile. You tell them what you like and what you hate and they start from there. BUT- PLEASE go onto Pinterest and make a board just for Stitch Fix. Pin things that you love and then put the link in your style profile. It is hard for them to make decisions based off of that first style profile, and until I did the Pinterest page I didn't get a box that I wanted to keep everything out of. Also, when you send stuff back leave detailed feedback about why you don't like it. Wrong color, too big, too expensive, wrong style, etc. That will help them in the future.

How much does it cost?

You are charged $20 as a styling fee. If you buy anything at all out of your box, they put that $20 as a credit on your bill. So as long as you buy something, there is no real charge. The clothing can range anywhere from 25-200, mine mostly sit in the $45 dollar range.

Are you getting paid for this or do you have anything to do with Stitch Fix?

I wish! But if you use my referral code I do get a $25 credit!  https://www.stitchfix.com/referral/4070088

Okay, so on to share what I got from Stitch Fix:

This is my style card. It comes in every shipment and shows me what I'm getting and how to pair it, which is helpful because I find it hard to put full outfits together. This time I got:

Papermoon Alfonso Woven Split Back Knit Top

Pixley Willaura Faux Suede Drape Jacket

McQue Solid Lace Sleeve Blouse

Kut From The Kloth Kate Distressed Boyfriend Jean

Market and Spruce Nina Asymmetrical Sweater Tunic

Papermoon Alfonso Woven Split Back Knit Top and Market and Spruce Nina Asymmetrical Sweater Tunic are the two that I kept.

I LOOOOVED these sweaters! The Papermoon sweater has an awesome split back top, where it opens up and has a nice blue back. The Nina Tunic is so comfy and is not form fitted, which I love.

Here it is with my favorite Time Turner necklace ;)

The other 3 were either way too expensive or did not look right.

These boyfriend jeans were okay, but they were $88 dollars which is wayyyyy too much money for a pair of jeans that I don't worship.

The blouse was not my style. The fabric was immediately wrinkled and I didn't like the fit. Just seemed cheaply made in general.

This is the first thing I've gotten from Stitchfix and thought- WTF. It was terrible. Never in my wildest dreams would I wear this jacket. Suede is not my deal.

Overall, I love Stitch Fix. It makes things easier for me, and I love what they send. Here's a referral code again if you want to try it out!    https://www.stitchfix.com/referral/4070088
